Prize
The Aart Bosman Prize is the only prize in the Netherlands and Belgium awarded to theses in the field of information systems and IT applications. PhD students can compete for the prize of EUR 4,000 once every two years. The prize is named after Professor Aart Bosman (1930-2008), pioneer and founder of the field of Information Systems in the Netherlands.

The jury selected three finalists from all the candidates for the 2011 Bosman Prize. On 4 November  they gave brief presentations of their PhD research during a festive meeting.  The Aart Bosman Prize has been made possible by a donation by Dr Gezinus Hidding (FEB alumnus, 1982). Hidding, now associate professor at Loyola University in Chicago, conceived the prize to honour his mentor. Hidding attended the prizegiving ceremony on 4 November.
