IFM alumnus Vava Angweny and her sustainable Kenyan coffee company finalist in BBC World Challenge – voting open!

Our alumnus Vava Angwenyi competes in BBC world challenge finals and you can vote for her now! The graduate of the MSc in International Financial Management (2006) is owner of Vaya Coffee, a fair-trade coffee company in Kenya. Besides producing high quality products, her company is seeking to improve the life of farmers, women and street children in Nairobi. This got her a nomination for the finals of BBC World Challenge. Please vote to give Vaya the credit she deserves and help Vaya Coffee to improve even more lives! Voting is open until 11 November.

In 2006, Vava Angwenyi graduated from the Master of Science programme International Financial Management, an international programme offered jointly by University of Groningen, Uppsala University and University of Florida. Today, Vava is the owner of Vava Coffee, a fair-trade coffee company in Kenya.

Vava Coffee is dedicated to the joys of high quality Arabica coffee and prides itself with its handcrafted, unique coffee products. But producing high quality products is not her only goal, she is also seeking to improve the lives of the farmers, women and street children in the slums of Nairobi by giving them fair trades, jobs and education. For doing this Vava Coffee is nominated as a finalist in the BBC World Challenge. This challenge highlights the most innovative social entrepreneurs from all over the world.
