On Wednesday 5 October the FEB organizes the meeting “Student 2.0 - The Impact of New Ways of Working on University Spaces".
The borders between the digital and real worlds are increasingly blurred and the work- and study place as we know it, with fixed spatial units and fixed time schedules, is slowly disappearing.
Interesting speakers discuss the consequences of these digital developments for universities as we know them. With Alfons van Marrewijk (VU Amsterdam), Nieske Vergunst (Kennisnet), Andy Boyd (Shell) and Mark Mobach (FEB RUG).
Topics:
- Can the enabling technologies, social media, e-books, holograms, and film, replace the need and use of the physical presence of teachers and students?
- Can the university use these developments and become a lively, enjoyable, and sparkling place to learn and exchange ideas?
Wednesday October 5th, 3-5 pm., Plaza Duisenberg Building (Nettelbosje 2, Groningen)
