FEB student Robbert Jan Stals investigated the connection between football clubs' stock market exchange rates and their performance on the field. Only games unexpectedly won or lost influence the exchange rate; an unexpected loss has the greatest effect. Firing a coach has no effect whatsoever.

Stals received his degree certificate from his thesis supervisor Beugelsdijk yesterday.
