"‘Prinsjesdag' not looking very hopeful for SME", Dr Maryse Brand states on FEBlog

‘The SME sector, and small entrepreneurs in particular, looks like coming off badly in the Dutch Budget to be presented during Prinsjesdag next week’, says Dr Maryse Brand. ‘Too little attention is being paid to market failure, in which the government itself sometimes plays an important role. An example is using tender procedures that put small businesses at a disadvantage.’ Brand, who specializes in SME & Entrepreneurship, is not in favour of unlimited stimulation of entrepreneurship either. ‘Fortunately, that craze seems to be passing.’
