What is International Financial Management?

International Financial Management

How do you enable and manage international financial transactions? How do you handle the complexities of foreign capital investments and financing? How can you manage alliances with foreign parties?

The IFM programme focuses on the managerial aspects of international finance. The curriculum is designed to provide you with the skills you will need as a financial manager in an firm or organization that operates internationally. It gives you a thorough understanding of the different aspects of financial management in an international business environment, and aims to teach students to think strategically and to explore how change can be initiated and managed. The IFM programme can be taken as a stand-alone programme, but is also offered as a Double Degree programme for a limited number of students (target maximum: 30). In the Double Degree programme, the University of Groningen cooperates with Uppsala University (Sweden).
