Page content: The Lean Operations Research Center wants to provide for an inspiring environment at which students can do their graduate research project. Students who want to graduate on one of the themes at the Lean Operations Research Center, must explicitly show their interest in lean operations. It is necessary that they completed relevant courses. Students who will graduate at the Lean Operations Research Center must, in advance, complete the Lean Operations Workshop [PDF]. Their compensation will be €250,- per month (when they start their research-project after 1 January 2008). During the research-project the three weekly graduation-workshops are compulsory. At the end of the research-project the student has to write a short generalized document based on the conclusions of the research-project. This document has to show which elements of the project can also be interested for other organizations. When the research-project is completed successfully, the student receives a certificate. This certificate acknowledges the knowledge a student gained on the field of lean operations. Students who are interested in a master thesis on the field of lean operations are invited to sent CV + courses/grades list + motivation to Prof. Dr. Ir. J. Slomp ( j.slomp@rug.nl). If possible, sent these documents about a half year to a year before you're planned start. This is necessary due to limitations of the number of participants in the Lean Operations Workshop.
More information can be found in the brochure [PDF] (in dutch).
