Workshops and activitiesAs a subscriber of the EICP you will receive an email with the request to indicate which workshops you would like to attend. Please see below for a description of the workshops and masterclasses.
Cor Zijderveld Chairman Samenwerkende Bedrijven Eemsdelta SBE, Taskforce Technologie Onderwijs Arbeidsmarkt TOA, former director Chemie Park Delfzijl and AkzoNobel Delfzijl will open the EICP. He will give a short introduction on the subject with his view of perspective on Energy.
Danny Mekic' Danny Mekic’ (1987) is one of the youngest entrepreneurs of The Netherlands. In 2002, he founded his first company Domeinbalie.nl (English: DomainDesk) in Amsterdam, offering domain name registrations and webhosting with a key focus on support and personal contact with the customers. In 2012, ten years later, he wants to open the first brand in America and Germany as well. Therefore he bought the DomainDesk.com in 2009, which will become the international version of Domeinbalie.nl. In 2009, he was awarded by entrepreneur magazine Sprout as ‘most successful young entrepreneur’ of The Netherlands, 2009. The Energy Quiz, organized by ESN, tests your knowledge on sustainability, the future and history of energy and much more. Join in during lunch and use your knowledge of energy to win the quiz. The participant who fills in most answers correct wins an e-reader! For whom: students Language: English WorkshopsEnergy Bus Tour 11.15-14.00 (incl Lunch) & 14.00-16.45 By Kema In the last two years Smart Grids are undergoing significant developments. KEMA is leading in the realization of Smart Grid projects and offers a comprehensive range of strategies and solutions to help clients plan and evolve into a ‘Utility of the Future’. Power Matching City is the first Dutch Smart Grid in which KEMA and partners demonstrate its values. In this EICP workshop the participants will actively simulate a Smart Grid in a serious game. The game is about how to operate household appliances as smart as possible, with the objective to gain money. The serious game has been developed by the Technical University of Delft and will be played at KEMA's office, where you can also experience a real Smart Grid (part of Power Matching City). Gasunie and LNG - Building energy supply of the future 11.15-12.45 h By Gasunie During the Gasunie workshop, we would like to introduce the basics of the LNG business, the LNG supply chain and the related stakeholders. The content will mostly be based on our Gate terminal experience and business case, reflecting the strategic decisions a gas infrastructure company such as Gasunie has to make. We hope that after the workshop you will have a better view of Gasunie's position, the structure of an energy supply chain and of stakeholder management and that you will have practiced your negotiation skills with a mindset of long-term thinking.
