First/Fall semester

Please note that the first/Fall semester starts on 29 August with compulsory introduction activities and runs until 1 February 2013.

Second/Spring semester >> option to study for a shorter period

The second/Spring semester starts with compulsory introduction activities in the last week of January 2013 and runs until 28 June 2013. In the Spring semester, we offer students the option of doing a study abroad for one term (half a semester): 2.1 starts 1 February and runs until 12 April; 2.2 starts 12 April and runs until 28 June.

Retakes for 2.1 and 2.2 are schedulded between 1 - 12 July!

Studying for one term may fit better into your institution’s academic calendar. Also, for non-EU students, studying for a shorter period offers an advantage concerning the visa procedure: for stays < 90 days in the Netherlands, the student can apply him/herself for a short-stay (tourist) visa which is cheaper and less complicated.

 Course and Exam schedules

In the first week of July (for the first semester) and in the first week of December (for the 2nd semester), at the latest, the course and exam schedules will be available. When choosing your list of courses always make sure to check with the schedule wizard to check if there is no overlap with regards to exam/lecture schedules.
