On working days from 6am to 6pm, most parking lots at the Zernike complex are closed off with barriers and are only accessible to owners of a parking permit and guests (P1, P2, P3, P4 south and P5).
Only P4 north and the transferium
at the Professor Uilkensweg are always freely accessible to everybody (guests, students, employees without parking permits, etc.).
Guests
It is advisable to reserve a parking place for suppliers or guests from outside the University of Groningen at the receptions one day ahead.
Upon arrival, all guests must report themselves through the intercom at the entrance of the parking lot. You are permitted access when you indicate who you are, for whom you have come and where you ought to go; provided, of course, that there is still parking space available. At the entrance you will be given an entrance ticket, which you can change for an exit ticket at one of the reception desks. The parking manager has a complete overview and can inform you through the intercom. Except for reservations, a parking place cannot be guaranteed: full = full.
Employees and students
Information about parking permits is available on the FEB intranet and at both the Facility Services Zernike West receptions. Parking permits are available for employees who live far from the complex and for employees and students with a disability, among others.
Please note:
- Parking at the Zernike complex is only allowed on the specifically designated parking lots. If you park on a different lot, you run the risk of being fined.
- The parking lots are monitored by a video camera. Nevertheless, parking takes place at your own risk.
- Parking on the University of Groningen lots involves no parking fees.
