Advisory Board


Background and task/goal

In the fall of 2010 the Faculty Board appointed an Advisory Board (AB). The Faculty Board wants to get regular advice from its stakeholders regarding its objectives and strategy.

 

Composition

For the composition of the AB, the faculty board approached representatives of (international) trade and industry, government, secondary education (as a supplier) and the university community. Their knowledge and experience can excellently support the faculty and advise regarding its mission and strategy. The AB will gather twice a year.

 

The Advisory Board consists of the following members:

  • Pamela Boumeester (former CEO Dutch Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) and supervisory board member of several large Dutch firms)
  • Pieter Bregman (General Director of Nijestee, a large housing corporation)
  • Bert Bruggeman (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University Medical Centre Groningen)
  • Maurice van Daal (Principal of the Praedinius Gymnasium in Groningen)
  • Eric Dam (Member of the Executive Board and Director Construction & Maintenance of Gasunie, one of the largest European natural gas infrastructure companies)
  • Nicolai Foss (Professor of Strategy and Organization, Copenhagen Business School)
  • Lex Hoogduin (former Director of the Dutch central bank; professor of monetary economics at the University of Amsterdam)
  • Alexander Italianer (Director  General  Competition, European Commission)
  • Fieke van der Lecq (Professor of Pension Markets, Erasmus University Rotterdam,supervisory board member of a.o. Delta Lloyd Group)
  • Roel Louwhoff ( CEO British Telecom)
  • Rick van der Ploeg (Professor of Economics at the Oxford University, former member of Dutch parliament and cabinet)
  • Jeroen Smit (journalist on financial economic issues)
