Educational programmes (general)

A logical continuation of the bachelor programme in Pharmacy is the master programme in Pharmacy, that takes three years and trains to become a pharmacist. The bachelor phase has a strong natural science character (focusing on medicines). The master phase offers typical pharmaceutical courses and is directed to the latter execution of professional duties as a pharmacist (community, hospital, industry). The master phase also contains a research project to be carried out in one of the research groups, elective courses and work placement.

The Insitute for Life Sciences is interfaculty (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences; FMNS / Faculty of Medical Sciences; FMS) and is also responsible for the bachelor programme Life Science & Technology, the master programme Medical Pharmaceutical Sciences and the topmaster programme Medical Pharmaceutical Drug Innovation. The courses in these programmes are given in collaboration with staff from the FMS. These three master programmes are a continuation of the bachelor programmes Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Life Science & Technology. In addition, training programmes in biological, medical biological and biochemical directions are offered by the Institute for Life Sciences. For students who choose for a technical direction, the master programme in Chemical Engineering, direction Product Technology, is the logical master programme to continue with. This master programme is maintained by the Institute for Natural Sciences and Technology.
