Financial Matters

In the Netherlands, tuition fees have to be paid at all public Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences. For the next academic year (2015/16), the tuition fees are €1951 (per student for two semesters). Fees for non-EU students vary. Please consult the website of the degree program your child is interested in for the exact amount per academic year.

Costs for books amount to approximately €250 per semester. We have calculated that students need about €650 - €750 to cover their monthly expenditures for rent, food and leisure.

Visa and residence permit

Dutch immigration laws require all non-EU students to apply for an MVV visa and residence permit. The International Service Desk of the university will take care of this application once the student has been admitted.

Students who are required to have a residence permit, must show that they have sufficient financial means during their stay in The Netherlands. Students will be informed about the requirements once they've been admitted.
