New Erasmus Mundus programmes with Latin America: apply now!

The University of Groningen is a partner in three new Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) programmes with Latin America. It concerns PEACE, coordinated by Uppsala University (Sweden), Mundus Lindo, by Universidad de Valladolid (Spain) and BABEL by the Universidade do Porto (Portugal).
Participating countries
The calls for application are open all October 2012 . You may be eligible to apply if you are a national of one of the following countries participating in each programme:
- PEACE: Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay
- Mundus Lindo: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru
- BABEL: Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay

Mobility from Latin American countries to European consortium universities
All EMA2 programmes provide funding for the mobility of undergraduate and master students, PhD and post-doctoral researchers as well as staff from selected Latin American countries to the European consortium universities. The University of Groningen is involved in two more EMA2 projects granted in 2010 that are still running in the Latin American region, both of them with Argentina: Europlata and Eurotango2, for PhD, post-doctoral and staff mobility in the social sciences and life sciences/sciences & technology respectively. Europlata is coordinated by Groningen; Eurotango2 by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
