    Fields: Hebrew Bible; early Jewish Literature, including Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha and Dead Sea Scrolls;  New Testament; early Christian literature, including Apocrypha and Gnostic Literature; Reception of the Bible; Qur'an; early Islamic literature; History of Reception.
    Themes: Jewish, Christian and Islamic Origins in a Comparative Perspective:
    a. Themes in Biblical Narrative
    b.  Acculturation and Cultural Resistance

  • Comparative and Historical Study of Religion
    Fields: History of religions; Comparative study of religion; Method and theory in the study of religion; Anthropology, sociology, psychology; Indian religion, Western esotericis; European history of religion; Islamic studies; Discursive study of religion.
    Themes: Religion, identity and memory, religion in medieval India, esoteric discourse in European culture, Jewish and Christian kabbalah, religious pluralism in Europe, aesthetics of religion, religion and the natural sciences, religion and modernization, the rise and fall of religious traditions. .

  • Christianity, Philosophy and Culture
    Fields: History of Christianity; History of Christian Art, Architecture & Music; Philosophy of Religion; Ethics; Systematic Theology, Gender Studies.
    Themes: Religion, Conflict and the Public Domain; Cultures of Consolation; Christian Iconography; History of Ideas and Theology; Religion, Ethics and the Postsecular City.
