Director dr. J.T. (Taco) van der Vaart
Aim/Mission The Graduate School of Economics and Business is the Graduate School of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Groningen and is closely related to the research institute SOM. The mission is to stimulate mono-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research related to the firm in its economic environment and to provide Research Master and PhD programmes meeting a high international standard. In 2007, approximately 125 researchers and 100 PhD students participate in the graduate school and the research. The institute was accredited by the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts Sciences in May 1998,  renewed in 2003. The Research Master programme has been accredited by the Netherlands-Flemish Accreditation Organisation in 2004. In 2007 approximately 15 students have been admitted to this programme.
