Each PhD student follows a training programme. This programme is based upon your needs and interests and the demands of the Graduate School. The training programme usually amounts to 30 ECTS credits (1 credit is 28 hours of study) and is a mix of general skill courses, necessary to operate in the scientific and industrial world and in-depth courses regarding the research subject.

Courses offered in the programme

To fulfill the training programme several course offers are available.

Courses organized by:

  • The Office of the Dean of Graduate Schools
  • Your Graduate School
  • Other Graduate Schools
  • Local and National Research Schools
  • The Donald Smits Centre for Information Technology (CIT)
  • The University Language Centre
  • The University Career Development and Training Centre
  • The University Centre for Teaching and Learning
