Het College van Bestuur van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen heeft dr. Martin Smit benoemd als directeur van de Graduate School Medical Sciences (GSMS). De GSMS is een van de Graduate Schools van de RUG en vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van het researchprofiel van het UMCG.
On January 1, 2012, T. Hortobágyi, PhD, was appointed professor in Movement and Healthy Ageing at the University Medical Center Groningen. The chair focuses on movement and healthy ageing, which is at the core of RUG/UMCG’s theme Health Ageing.
On 1 January 2012, Dr A.E. van den Berg became professor by special appointment in Experiencing and Valuing Nature and Landscape at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences (FRW) of the University of Groningen.
