Petrie Roodbol appointed professor in Nursing Sciences

On January 1, 2012, dr. P.F. Roodbol was appointed professor in Nursing Sciences, especially in the field of innovation and education, on behalf of the J.K. de Cock Foundation at the University Medical Center Groningen. Roodbol has organised the Nursing Sciences at the UMCG through various appointments. At present she is the head of the Wenckebach Institute and the Nursing Expertise Center at the UMCG.

Prof. dr. R.F. Roodbol will focus her research in Nursing Sciences, innovation and education on the UMCG focal point of Healthy Ageing.

Petrie Roodbol (Rotterdam, 1953) was trained as a nurse at the Academic Hospital in Leiden. Afterwards she took courses in management and quality control, and studied Nursing Sciences at the University of Limburg. In 2005, Roodbol defended her thesis at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen. The title of the thesis was “Dwaallichten, struikeltochten, tolwegen en zangsporen. Onderzoek naar taakherschikking tussen verpleging en artsen”.
