Flexor tendon repair of the hand is followed by immobilization with a splint. After this immobilization period patients report clumsiness. The main purpose of this thesis was to determine whether motor imagery, i.e. imagining a movement during the splinting period without actually performing it, results in faster recovery of hand function.
