Open access deal with the publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins
The Dutch universities with a UMC and the University of Wageningen have signed a deal with the publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins about publishing in open access.
The following is agreed upon:
No author's fee for publishing in LWW's hybrid journals
Authors of the University and the UMCG may publish open access at no cost in one of the hybrid journals from Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
To which journals does this agreement apply?
In all of these 228 journals, authors from the UMCG may publish open access at no cost.
Workflow when submitting a manuscript
The publication workflow for this is still not optimal because of the current technical limitations of the publisher. The publisher provides so-called "APC Waiver" codes to the UMCG, which should be used by authors at the moment they want to publish with LWW (after acceptance of the article). The waiver code ensures that the article will be offered in open access without the author having to pay. You can request a waiver code via openaccess rug.nl
