Support

What help does the Service Desk offer?

Service Desk support is aimed at the services offered by CIT and comprises a broad range of activities:

  • assistance with the use of services offered by CIT
  • processing requests for applications
  • help in the event of problems with applications
  • dealing with requests for and installation of new computers
  • assistance with the use of the computer
  • communication in the event of problems with IT services
  • answering queries about the provision of CIT services
  • referring questions about IT services offered by other providers to the correct
    address.

CIT IT services

The CIT is responsible for a large part of IT services at the university: the network and services offered via the network. These mainly include services intended for the entire university, such as e-mail, the electronic diary and the University workspace. The Service Desk is the point of contact for these IT services.

More IT providers

CIT is not the only provider of university IT services. Examples of other university departments offering IT services are the
general and technical services department for telephony (VoIP) and the University Centre for Learning and Teaching (UOCG) for Nestor and ProgRESS. This means that the Service Desk may not always be able to answer your IT query. In this case you will be referred to the correct address.
