Courses about Word and Refworks

Publishing using Word

The Center for Information Technology offers a Publishing using Word course, specifically aimed at PhD students. This course teaches you to format a large document efficiently and reliably. Each attendant receives a set of Word templates, styles and macros to make formatting as easy as possible.

Refworks

Creating a database of bibliographical data en inserting a bibliography and references into your document, formatted exactly the way the journal demands, requires the use of a program like  Refworks (or Reference Manager or Endnote). The Library offers Refworks workshops. The licences for Reference Manager and Endnote expired June 2011. PhD students therefore are advised to use Refworks.
