The Windows University Workstation, known by its Dutch abbreviation 'UWP' (Universiteits WerkPlek) is a standardized network-based Windows XP setup for university staff. Besides Windows XP it contains a large amount of (pre-)installed applications. These applications -as well as XP security- are managed centrally by IT staff.
The implementation of the UWP will take until July 2007.
