Tablets can be used during meetings to consult minutes and other documents without having to leaf through thick wads of printouts, to look at your appointments (calendar) and to read and write e-mail. The use of tablets – and particularly the iPad – by University staff and students has grown substantially and within a short period of time.
iPad support
For this reason, the CIT Service Desk will support various iPad facilities:
Urgent advice
If you have an iPad, we recommend that you do not link it to your UWP or another University workstation. This will lead to errors, since iTunes is not yet suitable for use within the University’s IT environment.
iPad Course
The CIT also offers the possibility to follow a iPad course, so you can learn under supervision to use your iPad efficiently for your work or study. More information and enrollment.
More information
For more information about using the iPad, consult Apple’s iPad User Manual [PDF], which explains all the facilities the iPad2 has to offer.
Questions
If you have any questions about the use of University IT facilities on your Pad, please contact the CIT Service Desk.
