Please note!

There are many different types of devices and operating systems in circulation, which makes it difficult to provide overall support in this area. The staff of the Servicedesk will do their best to help you with your smartphone questions concerning the operating systems Windows Mobile 6.1, iPhone, Blackberry Bold and Android. These four systems have been successfully tested with the configuration and synchronization of RUGmail, RUGplanner and files.

If your smartphone is configured to automatically synchronise with the RUGmail and RUGplanner or to automatically retrieve Windows updates, then we advise you to disable this configuration when abroad. More information about temporarily disabling your configuration can be found in the FAQ for Windows Mobile 6 or Blackberry.

The costs for data transfer when abroad will be charged separately and can stack up quickly. You can call your service provider for more details concerning the costs abroad. If you have a subscription via the UFB then you can contact them at 050 - 363 5252.

Synchronization of the RUGplanner requires a synchronization application, either SyncML or SyncJE, for which a licence needs to be purchased. You can use the downloadable version for free during the initial 30 days. Please view the user guides for additional information.
The purchase of the smartphone, the choice of service provider, your subscription and the necessary licences are your own responsibility.
For additional tips, for example about your GPRS connection, please view our FAQ. These extra tips fall outside the scope of the support offered for PDAs.
