Job Description

As a part of the Student Pool of Career Services, your main tasks are:
• Checking CVs, application letters and LinkedIn profiles from University of Groningen students who visit the I Shop
• Answering general questions about career-related matters
• Informing about the range of trainings, seminars and services we particularly offer
• Referring students to the right career or study advisor, faculty or organisation
• Taking care of administrative tasks such as processing data, replying to e-mails and managing appointments
• Assisting in career events such as career fairs, information markets, workshops and seminars
• Developing and assisting in several projects that run throughout the year
• Answering general questions about the University of Groningen
• Keeping the Career Services working environment neat and tidy
• A few student poolers will combine the Career Services tasks with working at the I Shop, this includes advising clients, and preparing and / or handling orders and articles

Job Profile
• Third-year University Bachelor or Master student in any subject
• Knowledge of and/or an interest in careers guidance, marketing and the job market
• Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
• Preferably a relevant student network inside and outside the University of Groningen
• Flexible, stress resistant and a pro-active attitude
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent command of English
• A planner, networker, team player and organizer
• Available for 8 hours a week for at least one year
