Together with CIT, UB and FB the Administrative Information Services (AIV) forms an important part of the IT organization of the University of Groningen. Every two years, the AIV publishes an information plan that unfolds its vision on developments in administrative processes and systems. Key issues in the 2011 - 2012 information plan are:
- Design and construction of a portal for employees;
- Major extension of the amount of self services for employees;
- Digitization of the document-processing and -filing system;
- Further expansion of the Datawarehouse;
- Preparation and implementation of Data Management.
Objective
The main task of the AIV department is to offer optimal support to University of Groningen managers and employees bij providing administrative, management and organizational information facilities.
The department carries out projects in order to develop and purchase information facilities and implement them in the organization. It maintains the information facilities and support their users.
