Who is who in the Groningen Lipdub?

There is so much to see, in every second of the University of Groningen lipdub...
Here for all fans of this film: a (still uncomplete) Who is Who!

When?

Who?
0:00 Drummer Elwin Stevelink sits in exactly the same position behiond the same drum kit, before a number of University buildings. This intro, first shown on an iPad and from 5:58 repeated under the end credits, was shot by Sergio Foti and Wybe van Dijk of the University of Groningen Communications Department.
0:29 Drummer Elwin Stevelink and Freek van Kreij and Sascha Struys are on the roof of the University Library, again drumming and playing 'guitar' and/or 'bass guitar'...
0:35 Anouk van Beusekom starts the proper lipdub. Anouk also works at the University of Groningen Communications Department, by the way.
0:37 Among the 'clouds', who according to Anouk are not in sight (so they have to get out of the way as quickly as possible), is Alice Woldhuis, one of the University Library employees present in the film. Alice wears the yellow shirt... The other cloud girls are Judith Held and Mareike Kirsch
0:38 The man with the umbrella is Mark Astro.
0:48 Jettie Noordam-Noorman, also a Librarian, sings Hey hey hey!
0:50 Xie Lin volunteered to fire the starting gun!
0:53 Running down the avenue... The runner on the left is Ane van der Leij, another Library colleague; with him is Chinese student Lei Zhu. (So the athletic couple can go and market themselves profesionally as Leij and Lei...)
0:55 Andrew van der Meer is hanging from the roof beam, so that the sun shines brightly...
0:59 In the massage chair is Linda Broeze; the woman massaging her is Tineke van Stipriaan, also a chair massage specialist in real life!
1:03 The people holding the text sings are Maarten Jalvink and three other students of medicine, all members of student society Panacea.
1:06 These boys we will see more of: two members of Albertus Magnus.
1:11 The stretcher is carried by four 'first aid' guards. The two in the rear are Law Library employee Maarten Goldberg and University Library secretary Dorina Antoons; on the stretcher is Sanne Hoving.
1:15 This bunch is from Aegir ; Djurre Fierstra is their contact here. In the course of the film, every line 'Where did we go wrong' will be illustrated by panicky types with a Groningen city map...
1:21 In the hallway, five girls from the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) (among who Lydia de Jong and Katharina Stroehm) hold open the doors...
1:27 ... and some other ESN-folk is behind the desk in the Special Collections Department, asking themselves 'Where did we go wrong'...
1:29 Almost unrecognisable: Lending Department colleague Jacqueline Strijker opens the door in a real cool seventies outfit!
1:31 In the middle of our special collections (with valuable medieval manuscripts, etc.), Communications Officer Nyckle Swierstra plays a 'nonnegeige' (a genuine medieval instrument)!
1:45 These four actors behind the shelves with manuscripts and incunables do the 'YMCA'-gestures. They are members of the theatre group and a capella choir Bathroom Scenario; contact was Vicky van der Linden.
1:49 Now we enter the reading room full of Albertus Magnus members, especially of the KEI (introduction) committee.
2:00 The lady with the black shirt and the sunlgasses is Kim Zonneveld, leader of the Albertus pack
2:03 Ah... those two boys again!
2:04 These guys are Peter de Haan (in the red Spar supermarket shirt) and Frank den Hollander (in the vintage FC Groningen shirt). For more than thirty years now, they are Pé Daalemmer & Rooie Rinus, a duo singing mostly in Groningen dialect. They are both University of Groningen alumni, that's why they materialize here...
Peter de Haan is a pharmacist in Hoogkerk; Frank den Hollander is communications officer at the Library.
2:19 And there's Anouk again, this time behind the computer. Right from her is Borislav Makariev.
2:28 The scooter is a 1963 Lambretta, put to a running condition by Maarten Goldberg (whom we already saw as a stretcher carrier at 1:11)
2:36 The whole Albertus Magnus crew is on the tables again, and yes, there are the two boys with the pan for the third time!
2:38 Student Melle Bouwhuis is arrested and being carried away by student police officers Nico Huismans and Matthijs Beukema.
2:46 Djurre Fierstra and his Aegir companions still wonder 'Where did we go wrong...'
2:50 Behind the rowing club, you see two members of the Groninger Studenten Alpen Club, hanging in the air... the one on the right is Tieme van Veen.
2:55 Mark Elema and Floris van der Breggen play Stef Stuntpiloot in the lift, a very popular game among students in Groningen.
3:13 The game appears to be on the head of a real Stunt Robot, played by Martijn Regelink!
3:26 Another one of the Groninger Studenten Alpen Club, upside down. This time Joren van Veen (brother of Tieme at 2:50)
3:28 Oops! This fourth time, the Albertus boy misses the beat... and looks desperate afterwards!
3:30 Dancing the night away: Library helpdesk colleague Annette Schreuder and her husband, web application designer Henk Druiven are fanatic dancers, even here in their work habitat!
3:34 The Albertus posse is here again, as well as Maarten Jalink with his doctors!
Well, actually: most of the actors from earlier in the film are present here.
3:39 Here is Alice Woldhuis again (and the other 'cloud girls' from 0:37): I'll remember you - this way!
3:43 Linda Broeze and Tineke van Stipriaan have changed places (see their first appearance at 0:59)
3:46 This guy takes a picture with an LC-A+RL camera: directors Sjaak & Nout are advocates of old-fashioned Lomography (using analogue film rolls)
3:49 The Aegir rowers again...
3:51 In this part of the staircase, a big group of Unitas members is present.
The boy on the railing to the right is Thijs van Stegeren.
3:52 Where did we go wrong? again: this time Marijn van Dolderen and Ester Horneman.
3:54 Librarian Marjolein Nieboer, technically our host this day, in her beautiful book chair, and holding the sleeve of the double LP 'Out of the Blue', the Electric Light Orchestra record containing Mr Blue Sky...
3:58 Liesbeth Hans, another Unitas member
3:59 This is Klaske van Sluis, daughter of philosophy librarian Jacob, and initiator of the Unitas participation.
4:01
Caroline Middelbeek, Jeske Neutel and Delana Bagman
4:03 Holding up the 'Blue' sign is Katharina Stroehm again. Some ESN-folks again here!
4:05 Planking! Library employees Karla Westra (l) and Paula Flokstra (r) thought their contribution would make the lipdub even more modern...
4:07 The big Lalalalaa-choir consists of more Unitas people, three journalists of the University Newspaper (UK) and employees of the University of Groningen Language Centre.
4:08 To the left Jessie de Groot, Marko Beernink, Marlous van der Veen, Sahar Hanrahan and Lana Bartelt, all Unitas
4:10 The man in the black suit and black sunglasses is writer Ronald Ohlsen.
In front of him ,wearing the pink wig, is Anje Dijk of the LC, next to her in the multi-coloured jumpsuit Ellen Koen, also of the LC. Behind them, newspaper folded on het head, Hanneke Boonstra, chief editor of the UK. The other UK journalist (with paper hats) are Vera Verzijl and Richard Kootstra.
4:21 Two girls rotate on the entrance gates of the library.
4:25 No use naming anyone here... Virtually all the actors are here, throwing confetti, toilet paper and even inflatable animals at the camera!
4:30 The alpinist at the far right, sailing down from the ceiling, is Astrid van der Werf of the GSAC.
4:34 Annemarie Heeringa works as a student receptionist at the University Library, but her sport is fencing! Here she is, together with her friend Marjolein Bos.
4:40 And there is drummer Elwin again, with his 'band mates' Freek van Kreij and Sascha Struys (who coincidentally do some fencing with the girls)
4:51 Behind the fencers, Jonas Kleinbergen exits the library with the getto blaster on his shoulder. Jonas was floor manager during the shooting, and here he sees to it that the music can be heard on the square, too.
4:53 The string section: members of the Bragiorchestra, directed by Arno van Weert
4:56 In Dutch, a string instrument is called 'een strijkinstrument'. 'Strijken' is also the Dutch word for ironing; that's why Frank den Hollander is here with his ironing board.
5:01 Peter de Haan rides across the square, Anouk van Beusekom with him on the Lambretta. He is chased by police officers Nico Huismans and Matthijs Beukema, playing the siren on their police car. Behind the, Wybe van Dijk rides his Suzuki V-Strom, pretending to be a motor cop.
5:02 Attention: is that a bike being stolen from the racks in the back of the square?
This turns out to be Matthew Nayna, an exchange student from Australia, who wanted to demonstrate what he thought was a "Groningen tradition": stealing bikes as soon as the police isn't looking.
5:05 Karla 'planking' Westra again, now as beach volleyballster. Her colleague Paula 'planking' Flokstra didn't make it in time to the square...
5:06 Shadé Michiels, Lisanne Bögels, Annemarije Santman and Isa Abels of the Vindicat horse riding club 'De Rijclub'. Unfortunately, they could not bring real horses...
5:10 Now, the whole lipdub crew is running onto the square. No use putting names on anyone anymore...
5:30 The round banner you see on the square is free publicity for the KEI (the introduction week in August): KEI will rock you! Around the banner you see Hanneke van der Boog, Jan-Bart Houwing, Margreet Lindeboom, Matthijs Burk, Sjoerd Huisman and Jeroen van Dorp
5:36 The small camera you see popping in and out of view here, is also a Lomography camera: the Spinner 360. It spins around 360 degrees and creates spectacular panorama pictures!
5:40 At last, after hours and hours of waiting, they are visible: former rector magnificus professor Frans Zwarts, accompanied by Bianca Pander (of The Night of Arts and Science), Jolien Siemerink, Marlies Jongman, Monique Berends, Lutiena Brouwers, Marije Oosterbaan and Boyana Petkova.
5:44 And finally, two more members of the GSAC, sailing down from the roof of the Academy Building!
5:58 The same intro as on 0:00, with drummer Elwin Stevelink.
6:12 A typing error in the end credits: Diana Pagila has accidentally gotten a 'Coman' behind her name; this was wrongly cut and pasted from the next one in the list, Bogdan Florin Coman. Sorry about that!
6:20 Completely on the left of the party are Johannes Nicolai, his wife Ingrid (both colleagues at the University Library) and their daughters Renske and Eline.
6:21 The little boy in the green shirt is Mats, one of the sons of RUG Communications Officer Martin Althof. His brother Wander is also on the square, in a grey shirt.
