ComputersIn the library, near the loandesk, you find 5 computers for general use. They are intended for searching in the catalogue of the RUG or the national catalogue (NCC) and for using law related sources on the internet. These computers are not intended for personal use, like word processing or email (Hotmail) and may not be used for more than 30 minutes in succession. Placed through the library are 6 computers that you may use with your own computer account including wordprocessing and email. In the "Instructiezaal" (Instruction room) downstairs you find 24 computers that may be used with your own computer account when this room is not reserved for library instructions. On this page you can see on what dates and times the Instruction Room is closed to the public.
Laptops and wireless network The library is fitted with a wireless network. You can connect to this wireless network with your own laptop. More information on access to the wireless network (Flexnet 2). PrinterAll computers, excluding the 5 computers for general use near the loandesk and laptops connected to the wireless network, are connected to a printer. This printer can be found in Instruction Room (Computer room) downstairs and operates. For printing one need to have a printaccount.
Laptop or notebookIt is possible to use the wireless network (flexnet) of the library on your own laptop or notebook. The helpdesk can give you a helping hand with the technical details. More (technical) information about flexnet can be found on the RC website.
