In Your Network

The CMB serves the staff and students from the University Medical Center Groningen on the RUG Network, as well as on the UMCG Network & Intranet.
Here you will find the most used and special tools & resources within these networks available for you.

RUG Staff/Student Workstation 

Via the Start button and RUG Menu you will find:

Dictionaries: Pinkhof, VanDale All Languages, GroeneBoekje, Chemiekaarten, EuroGlot

Library Services including Library websites; Catalogues, Electronic Databases, Electronic Journals, Reference Management, Tools

• Joint Library Toolbar: (via Library Services -> Tools) install your library toolbar in Internet Explorer. Choose AFTER installation: QuickSearchCMB (for staff members) or CMBStudent (for medicine students)     
• Sharpreader & RSSOWL
  The RSS Reader application "Sharpreader" is used mainly by the central RUG IT department to "broadcast" news on IT-issues. It is running on every Staff & Student Workstation.
  It is very effective to add extra RSS feeds from other sources. The CMB offers several options to enhance your SharpReader, RSSOwl, or ANY RSS Reader in fact. Read more: RSS feeds & CMB
