Write-N-Cite

Write-N-Cite allows you to cite literature from your RefWorks database in a Word document and to automatically generate a bibliography in the publishing style of your choice.

Installing

Inside the University of Groningen

1. Click in the RUG Menu Library Services > Reference Management > RefWorks > Write-N-Cite .(please ignore possible security-alerts)
2. Install the program.

Outside the University of Groningen

1. Click Download Write-N-Cite III for Windows. (Mac users: Click Download Write-N-Cite v.2.5 for Mac.)
2. Install the program and tick Allow Working Offline (Installation Options).
3. Click in the Windows Start Menu Programs > RefWorks > WNC Proxy Configuration Utility.
4. Copy-paste the following URL: http://proxy-ub.rug.nl/login?url=https://www.refworks.com/refworks/?WNC=true
5. Click OK .
6. Click in the Windows Start Menu Programs > RefWorks > Install Write-N-Cite Plugin for Word.  

Logging in

Inside the University of Groningen

1. Launch Write-N-Cite from within Word by clicking the toolbar button. (Alternative: click in the RUG Menu Library Services > Reference Management > RefWorks > Write-N-Cite. )

2. Log in with your RefWorks login name and password. (See: Creating an account.)

Outside the University of Groningen

1. Launch Write-N-Cite from within Word by clicking the toolbar button. (Alternative: click in the Windows Start Menu Programs > RefWorks > Write-N-Cite.)
2. Log in with your S number (students), P number (staff), or Proxy CMB account (UMCG staff).
3. Log in with your RefWorks login name and password. (See: Creating an account.)
