We have to report that on this moment there are problems with Write-N-Cite working in Word 2010 for the RUG, if you have once installed EndNote or Reference Manager (through the versions of the RUG). Parts of EndNote and/or Reference Manager are then equally installed in this new Office version. RefWork-users report that the program of Write-N-Cite freezes all the time. From the CIT Department we received instructions how to solve these problems. Please follow exactly the following steps :
For users Windows Operating System :
- PC Start button, then go to Settings, Control Panel to Add or Remove Programs
- Select in the list of installed programs Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and click there Remove
- Now Office 2010 is de-installed
- Please do so the same with EndNiote, with Reference Manager and Write-N-Cite
- Restart the computer.
- Install through the NAL-menu Office 2010
- Restart the computer again.
- Reinstall Write-N-Cite through this link
For Mac-users :
RefWorks is not (yet) compatible with the latest version of Office for the Mac (2011)
