Research School of Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences
The Research School of Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences (BCN) stimulates and integrates education and fundamental research on the neurobiological bases of behavioral and cognitive events.
Its mission is to bring together research at different levels: specifications of brain activity at the molecular or cellular level, analyses of physical and mental operations, up to the complex level of information processing.
We seek to clarify in what way control systems are organized at different levels of processing, how these mechanisms affect neural circuits by changing local parameters (neurotransmission), and what the characteristics of pathological control are.
