Can I choose my e-mail address?

No. You can not choose your alumnus e-mail address. If you had a student address, the alumni address will be derivated from this  (Y.O.U.R.Name@student.rug.nl becomes Y.O.U.R.Name@alumnus.rug.nl).

If you did not have a student address, your alumni e-mail address will be composed of your initials, surname, graduation date and (if neccessary) a serial number (for example A.J.Wolfkamp-93@alumnus.rug.nl or A.J.Wolfkamp-93.1@alumnus.rug.nl).

The University of Groningen investigates the possibility to let you choose your address in the future.
