Below is a list of answers to the most frequently asked questions concerning the Alumni Network and the e-mail for life facility. If your question is not there, please contact the Alumni Helpdesk. The Helpdesk is only open during office hours.

  

General questions

· How do I access the Alumni Network and e-mail for life?

· Are there any conditions attached to the Alumni Network and e-mail for life?

· Can I choose my e-mail address?

· I've got my Bachelor's degree and am going to register for a Master's degree at the RUG. Will I get a student or alumnus account?

· I'm no longer registered at the RUG, but haven't got a degree. Can I get an e-mail address and access to the Alumni Network?

· Do I have access to facilities of the University library?  

 

Questions about loggin in

·How can I log in to access my mailbox

· I can't log in

· After logging in, I immediately get the message "you have been logged out".

· I used to have a student account, will the login procedure and my password stay the same?

·Can I save my password and user name?

 

Questions about the Alumni Network 

· How can I add someone to My Contacts?

· Can I continue to use my student e-mail address?

· I'm getting "Mailbox full" warnings, yet there is nothing in my inbox. What is going on?  

· I've been typing an e-mail for a long time (> 1 hour). Now that I want to send it I get an error telling me I've been logged out. How do I prevent losing my work?  

· I accidentally deleted an e-mail. Can I get it back?   

· I just set up my thunderbird address book according to the settings I found on these pages but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
