Master's programmes

The department of Artificial Intelligence has two diffent Master's degree programmes:

  • Artificial Intelligence (Ma/AI)
  • Human-Machine Communication (Ma/HMC)

Besides these programmes, the department also participates in two other research Masters:

  • the BCN research master (Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience)
  • the BSS research master (Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences)
    Both these masters have a admission selection procedure.

 

Description of the master's programmes:

The Master's degree programme of Artificial Intelligence (Ma/AI) focuses on the development of technical machines, such as robots and knowledge systems. The main fields of study are: 

  • Autonomous perceptive systems
  • Cognitive robotics
  • Multi-agent systems

The Master's degree programme of Human-Machine Communication (Ma/HMC) is organised in collaboration with the department of Psychology. This master focuses on cognitive science and on the improvement of the interaction between humans and computers. The main fields of study are:

  • Cognitive ergonomics
  • Cognitive modelling
  • Language and speech technology

The BCN Research Master Computational Modeling of Cognition is organised in collaboration with the School of Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience. The field of study is multidisciplinary brain reseach.

The Research Master Human Behaviour in Social Contexts is organised by the faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences (BSS). The field of study in this master is behavioural and social sciences.
