Erasmus Mundus Action 2 mobility

Different societies

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to help improve and enhance career prospects of students and to achieve better intercultural understanding and mutual enrichment between the European Union and third countries.

Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (2013 – 2017) is the current EU programme in which the University of Groningen plays an active role. We are involved in 18 EMA2 projects with consortia all over the world within which we facilitate mobility of students, scholars and staff between Universities in EU and non-EU countries and regions.

Active projects

The projects below are active projects (meaning mobility is taking place at this moment) but all scholarships have been allocated. These projects, therefore, won’t have open calls anymore.

Outgoing mobility for UG students, researchers & staff

UG students, researchers and staff are eligible to apply to the 4 open calls indicated in the overview above. Moreover, most EMA2 projects include the possibility for outgoing mobility for EU students, even if the University of Groningen is not involved in the project (so-called target group 2 mobility – TG2).

This allows UG students to also apply for a scholarship to regions other than South America, Eastern Neighboring Countries, South Africa or Asia. More information and further details

For consortium members, number of available scholarships, the amount of the scholarship, application deadlines, on-line application forms, etc. please consult the project websites.
