Prof Frank Vanclay has a personal chair as a professor of social impact assessment and management. He is included in the 2023 Stanford University listing of the world’s top 2% of scientists and is a leading authority in the field of social practice/social performance. Prof Vanclay has received awards from the International Association for Impact Assessment and other organizations. He has authored many key documents in the social impact assessment field, including the 2003 International Principles (https://doi.org/10.3152/147154603781766491), and the 2015 international guidance document (https://www.iaia.org/uploads/pdf/SIA_Guidance_Document_IAIA.pdf). A recent open access book (with 37 chapters and over 600 pages) is: Vanclay & Esteves (eds) 2024 Handbook in Social Impact Assessment and Management, Edward Elgar. https://doi.org/10.4337/9781802208870.
