Academia develops at the interface of different fields. This is one reason why the University of Groningen is home to a wide range of fields, each with a great number of subject specialists. The overview below, which is based on a standard categorization of fields, will help you find the right expert for each field. If you cannot find the expert you are looking for in this list, try searching via a related field or faculty; you may find him or her there.
My areas of interest are communication, linguistics and literature. Particularly cultural narratives, how language works, and looking beyond the functioning and use of social networking sites and their consequences on people's well-being.
Also, I have experience in qualitative and quantitative research and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
I hold a Research Master of Communication degree, which I received with maximum distinction at Universidad Austral de Chile.
I have also been invited to do PhD research stays at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford in the UK, Harvard and MIT in the USA, and Universidad de Sevilla in Spain. In every university I visited, I received feedback from interdisciplinary researchers that helped me have a more panoramic view of my research approach.
Sharing my research abroad has been the best experience ever.
