About the Ubbo Emmius Fund

Give for science

The University of Groningen was one of the first universities in the Netherlands to work with professional fundraising and relationship management. The Ubbo Emmius Fund, named after the founder and first vice-chancellor of the University of Groningen, seeks financial support as well as critical input from the business community, institutions and alumni.

Goals

The main goal of the Ubbo Emmius Fund is to raise funds for financial support of the university and input from the private, business and public sector on pioneering and ground-breaking research and education. Thanks to great efforts made by board members of the Ubbo Emmius Fund, an extensive network of people and companies interested in the University has been realised. These partners are prepared to financially support the University. Funds are raised for scholarship programmes, to fill honorary chairs, education centres and special research projects.

International network

As partner of the University of Groningen, you have access to an international, high-quality network of knowledge. You can interact with researchers, students and other university partners. Members of the Board of the Ubbo Emmius Fund, who come from a wide range of backgrounds and who are often alumni from the University of Groningen themselves, contribute substantially to the development of this network.

Detailed information

An extensive overview of running projects can be found in the project database.

A list of our current partners is available at the partner database of the Ubbo Emmius Fund.
